Cost Per Gram and Per Puff — the Comparison Nobody Publishes
Sticker price is the wrong number to compare, because the two formats do not hold the same amount.
Per gram, the 2g works out at $12.50–17.50 against $20–25 for the 1g. At the midpoints that is $15 against $22.50 — the 2g is about a third cheaper per gram of extract.
Per puff, the picture is the same. A 2g costs roughly 2.5 to 4.4 cents per puff; a 1g costs 4.0 to 6.3 cents. Put the other way round, buying the 1g means paying about 50% more for every draw you take.
That premium is not irrational — you are paying it to risk less money on a flavor you have not tried, and to get live resin rather than liquid diamonds, which is a genuinely different extract. But it is worth knowing you are paying it. If you already know your flavor, the 2g is the only sensible purchase.
