Cali Clear Carts vs Disposables vs Pens — What’s the Difference?

There is no difference. All three names describe the same Cali Clear device, and the confusion is worth clearing up because it changes what you should expect.

A cart, strictly, is a 510-thread cartridge that screws onto a separate battery you already own. A disposable is all-in-one: tank, coil and battery in a single sealed unit you use until it’s empty. Cali Clear only makes the second kind. So when you see “Cali Clear carts” for sale, you are looking at the all-in-one disposable — there is no separate Cali Clear cartridge that fits a third-party battery, and anything advertised as one is worth a very close look before buying.

“Cali Clear pen” means the same device again. “Cali Clear wax pen” is a genuine misnomer: a wax pen is a device you load yourself with concentrate, and this is not that. Cali Clear arrives pre-filled and sealed.

One more naming note, because it accounts for a lot of searches: Cali Clean, Cali Cleans, Calis Cart, Cail Clear and Clear Cali are all misspellings of Cali Clear. There is one brand, and the spelling on authentic packaging is Cali Clear. If a store uses a different spelling on its own packaging rather than just in a URL, treat that as a red flag and check the authenticity guide.

Why Liquid Diamonds, Not Distillate

Most disposables at this price run on distillate: oil stripped of everything including its aroma, with flavouring blended back in afterwards. That is why so many of them taste generically sweet no matter what the box promises.

Cali Clear fills with liquid diamonds instead — THCa crystalline suspended in a terpene-rich sauce, so the flavour comes from the plant rather than from an additive. Should You Buy the 2g or the 1g?

The 2g holds twice the extract for a few dollars more, which makes it the better value on a per-gram basis by a wide margin. It is the right default for anyone who already knows they like a flavour.

The 1g live resin is the cheaper way to test a flavour you have never tried, and it uses live resin rather than liquid diamonds — a different extract with a lighter, fresher profile. Both run the same 300mAh battery, so the 1g simply lasts around half as long at 400–500 puffs.

Which Version Am I Buying?

Cali Clear hardware has changed several times — V3, V4, V5, and now the V6 — and the generations are not interchangeable. The draw, the airflow and the charging behaviour all changed between them, which matters if you are replacing a device you liked.
